Definition of "Large Cap U.S. Stocks"

An asset class that represents common stocks issued by large U.S. companies that generally have a market capitalization of $5 billion or more. (Market capitalization is the total market value of a company's outstanding shares.) A common benchmark for large-sized U.S. stocks is the Standard & Poor's Composite Stock Price Index.
